Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between the universality of myth and counter-terrorism. With influences as diverse as Munch and Andy Warhol, new insights are created from both simple and complex meanings. Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of meaning. What starts out as triumph soon becomes debased into a hegemony of greed, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the dawn of a new order. As shimmering forms become frozen through studious and academic practice, the viewer is left with a tribute to the limits of our future.
