The Shoe Factory is a new member-supported art atelier in Pueblo, Colorado where arts, education and community converge. The name references not only the powerful and collaborative Warhol 'atelier' factory movement, but honors the history of the building which was previously Clark's City Shoe Factory. The Shoe Factory is conveniently located in downtown Pueblo at the corner of 3rd & North Main Streets across from Solar Roast.

Education is a major platform and priority at The Shoe Factory. All programs are innovative and engage not only the Artists in Residence in their creative process, but also the local community. Educational programs are designed to nurture the multifaceted relationships present between art, artists and the public. Our vision at The Shoe Factory is to create sustainable programming that meets the needs of the artists and the community while offering new perspectives on the power of art.

The founders of The Shoe Factory are artists, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. They have first-hand experience of the challenges that emerging and mid-career artists face as they develop their portfolios and build their careers. Their goal is to assist emerging artists as they take their professions to the next level and share the creative process with a broader community.

Stay tuned for more information regarding our official opening on October 4. We will debut Open Studios during First Friday Art Walk.
